The Robotics Academy was founded in the University of Macedonia with the intention of keeping the greek academic community up with the positive practices of the international community, where research in the Educational and Technological sciences flows directly to the community.
The Robotics Academy of the University of Macedonia already counts many participations of children and adults. In the Academy courses, children enter the world of STEM sciences, while being entertained. Adults get to enjoy their hobby and teachers enlisted in our programs expand their capabilities.
Robotics Academy’s programs are directed to ages 5 to 99 and cover a large spectrum of interests.
Furthermore, there are opportunities for college students and researches to participate in projects with scientific interest.
Finally, the amateur community (hobbists) of the Robotic Academy can make teams and cooperate by developing new groundbreaking ideas or taking part in some competition.
Although Educational Robotics impresses as a teaching subject , it has a large capabilities as a teaching tool for the experiential approach of STEM and theoretical subjects, as a mean for improving communication skills and generally as a way to support new skills for success in the 21st century.
In our team of educators there are University professors, doctorates and doctorate candidates, master’s students that are accompanied by accomplished partners.
Robotics Academy utilizes Exploratory learning, Problem solving and project methods trying to conquer knowledge, through discovery and cooperation.
Robotics Academy members plan the educational procedure and the analytical program based on the results or the associated international scientific community, where they participate actively.
